The operation is initially successful, however they are surprised to learn that McMillan has military training. After learning of Scott's capture, Stonebridge and Sergeant Julia Richmond (Lukes) volunteer to rescue him. During a live-ammunition training exercise, Stonebridge is forced to kill Jake Hanson, who has posttraumatic stress from his tours in Afghanistan, when he breaks down and attempts to kill the other recruits.
